View of Crowder’s Mountain

I have always loved this view of Crowder’s mountain. It is essentially the view from Highway 74 by the Food Lion. I am painting Crowders Mountain over and over; working until I can get the exact right painting. I am trying to share the looming, mysterious presence of this strange mountain that pops up in the Piedmont, surrounded by flat lands (with only it’s brother mountain, Kings Mountain, for company). This Crowder’s Mountain painting is a framed oil painting on canvas.

Unicorn in Meadow at Latta Place

This was originally a painting of the white horse that used to live at Latta Historic Place near Charlotte twenty-five years ago. But this horse was destined to become a wandering unicorn. This unicorn symbolizes miracles and mystery, and comfort for those who suffer, but this unicorn is tethered with a curb strap on its head because Latta Plantation is forever connected to a dark history of suffering and imprisonment. Well, Damn

I painted these words based on a phrase that my wife often says, and it was my vision to make this painting a love letter to her. It was my goal to show her the impact of her words and presence in my life through a simple gesture of a painting.

In my paintings, I explored three subjects inspired by both classical and modern sculptures, unifying them through a consistent palette and technique. By using shades of turquoise and pink, I introduced a subtle touch of modern sci-fi futurism, contrasting the timeless forms with a contemporary, otherworldly glow. This interplay of color and style bridges the past and future, giving the figures a surreal, almost ethereal presence while maintaining a cohesive visual narrative across the series.

The story of Perseus is no mystery, a tale of heroic conquest. The story of his victory over Medusa was one of the first stories that captivated me as a child and has continued to inspire many works from me over the years. When I started painting graffiti I even used part of the name “Perseus” to describe the boldness it would take to pursue such a craft.

I painted this flower in vibrant shades of turquoise and pink, giving it an otherworldly, luminous quality that captures a sense of renewal and transformation. These colors echo the palette used in my other works, connecting them through a theme of growth and blooming. Just as the flower appears to burst with life, this painting symbolizes a period of personal evolution.

Ember is the fire that burns deep within us, the untamed force that fuels our passion, ambition, and transformation. It represents the flicker of inspiration that refuses to be extinguished, growing into a powerful blaze when nurtured. The texture and movement in this piece evoke the unpredictable nature of fire—fierce, raw, and alive—mirroring the energy that drives us forward. The interplay of warm tones, layered pigments, and shimmering accents reflects the duality of fire: both destructive and regenerative, a force of renewal and creation.

Ether is the boundless, ever-expanding essence that envelops us—the unseen space between all things, full of possibility and mystery. This piece captures the fluidity of the cosmos, suggesting movement and depth, a sense of infinite unfolding. The choice of soft gradients, ethereal textures, and shimmering light reflections evokes the intangible yet ever-present energy that connects all things. Ether invites the viewer to embrace the unknown, to surrender to the vastness of existence, and to find beauty in the limitless potential that surrounds us.

Flow is the first glimpse of change—the moment of surrender to movement, evolution, and the unknown. It represents the path not yet taken, the shift in perspective that opens new doors. Through sweeping gestures, layered textures, and cascading hues, this piece embodies fluidity and transition. The dynamic interplay of elements—soft yet decisive strokes, shifting tones, and reflective highlights—captures the sensation of being carried by an unseen current. Flow is an invitation to embrace change, trust the journey, and let go of resistance to new beginnings.

MountX is the ascent—the steady climb toward something greater. It embodies the strength and perseverance required to rise, to push forward despite resistance. Like a peak standing firm against time and elements, it reminds us of the power of resilience and the beauty found in elevation.

Zenith is the meeting point between earth and infinity, the limitless expanse of the sky where dreams take flight and possibilities unfold. This piece captures the ever-changing nature of the heavens—soft gradients, the weightless drift of clouds, and the quiet glow that comes with reaching the top. The delicate interplay of light and depth mirrors the way the sky shifts with time, a reminder that nothing is static and everything is in motion. Zenith invites us to look up, to embrace the vastness of the unknown, and to find a sense of freedom.

FloraLeo was the first concept in Noelle’s yet to be titled animal series. The idea came to be after teaching a class at Wine & Design that included a leopard with a flower crown. This piece in particular is also influenced by Disney’s Lion King.

The second piece in Noelle’s animal series. Mr.Frog embodies the serenity of nature and the wisdom that one could find while being alone in the great outdoors.

Originally a prompt from “Garftober” a Garfield themed “Inktober” this piece was inspired by a panel from the classic Sunday funnies strip – putting a psychedelic twist on the subject matter playing off of the phrase “Party Mix.”

Inspired by the artists love for The Karate Kid Saga, this piece was created to celebrate the original film’s 40th anniversary.

I wanted to do something for the city of Charlotte. This is inspired by the Hornets color scheme without the dark colors. I think the vibrant tones really stood out and it makes everything come together nicely.

This painting was inspired by my love for being close to any body of water. It’s a real calming piece and reminds me of back home near the Jersey Shore. It brings me peace just by looking at it.

This painting brought me out of my comfort zone. Until I completed this I haven’t done a piece of this size before and i’m really proud of it. It embodies the ruler of jungle without using a lion. It’s also very calming on the eye with all the bright colors surrounding it.

This painting was made and inspired by going through the motions of life and no matter how chaotic it may get, I still find a way to be still. Especially in moments where it can seem impossible. We still have to keep a leveled head to push through any storm.

“13” pulls from built up chaos and anger in the young souls of today and yesterday. It may mean different things to different people but it’s not an empty statement. If they say it’s that, then that’s what it is. This is a visualization of those chaotic souls.

A machine-like man came to me and said this over  church organs:

“No one mourns the wicked” then he continued to speak until the organs stopped. Some say this is the Gospel. I agree. This piece displays the divine relationship between us and the Gospel – with us seeing enough but not completely comprehending.

Vulcan is the god of metallurgy. In the Bible he is known as TublaCain. The Freemasons have an affinity for him. The hand signal Spock uses refers to the LAYING OF THE HANDS ceremony used by the Hebrews in synagogues in order to let the Shekinah shine through to their endeavors.

Everybody wears their mask for everyone else to see. The question is, who are you really?
